Truck kills UP member in Kurigram
A Union Parishad (UP) member was killed as a truck hit a motorcycle carrying him under its wheels in Kurigram on Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Suja Miah, member of 2 no. ward of Joymonirhat union under the Bhurungamari upazila in the district.
Jalal Uddin, chairman of Joymonirhat Union, said, Suja was died on the spot when the truck hit his motorcycle.
Latiful Kabir, Officer-in-charge of Bbhurungamari Police Station, said, police seized the truck but its driver managed to flee away.
