Murder accused killed in Chuadanga ‘gunfight’

A murder accused in several cases was killed in an alleged gunfight with Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) at 2.30am on Sunday in Chuadanga.

The deceased was identified as Rakib, son of Eman Ali, of Monirampur village of Chuadanga sadar upazila.

Rakib was the member of union parishad of 1 no. ward and also the main accused in Mahfuzur Rahman Sajeeb killing case.

Abu Jihad, officer-in-charge of Damurhuda Model Police Station, confirmed the matter to the reporters.
