7 killed as bus, microbus collide in Brahmanbaria

At least seven people were killed in a collision between a passenger bus and a microbus in Bijoynagar upazila of Brahmanbaria district on Friday morning.

Humayun Kabir, officer-in-charge of Khatihata Highway Police Station said the accident took place when a bus of Ena Poribohon collided with a microbus coming from the opposite direction on Dhaka-Sylhet highway at Shashoi area.

The bus was travelling from Sylhet to Dhaka. At least five people were also injured in the incident.

The dead and injured were shifted to Sadar Hospital. Five injured were said to be in a critical condition.
