2 killed in Tangail road accident

A truck driver and his helper were killed as their truck turn turtle in Hateya area under Kalihati upazila of Tangail district.

The accident took place on the Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge road around Sunday noon.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Officer-in-charge of Bangabandhu Bridge East Thana Asabur Rahman said the accident occurred when a salt-laden truck turn turtle on the Bangabandhu Bridge-Tangail highway as its driver lost control over the steering.

Both of them died on the spot.
