Tongi factory boiler blast kills 21

At least 21 workers were killed and 30 injured in a boiler explosion at a factory in Tongi BISIC industrial area of Gazipur on Saturday morning.

Akhtaruzzaman, Deputy Assistant Director of Gazipur Fire Station, confirmed the matter to Jagonews24.com.

The injured workers were admitted to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.

Eight among the injured were identified as Shuvash, shift-in-charge, Rafiqul Islam, printing helper, Hannan, security guard, Mamun, operator, Anwar, operator, Joynal, operator, Shonkor, cleaner and Redwan, cleaner.
