5 held with Tk 1cr fake notes

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained five members of a gang for producing fake currency and seized counterfeit notes of Tk 1crore from Jurarain and Banasri residential area of the capital.

Director of RAB’s Legal and Media Wing Mufti Mahmud Khan on Thursday told Jagonews24.com that, acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB-1 conducted a drive at Banasri area and Jurain and detained five people along with one crore fake notes.

Further details regarding this will be disclosed through a press conference at 11am, he added.
