Govt employees to enjoy 6-day Eid-ul-Azha vacation

Government employees will enjoy six-day Eid-ul-Azha vacation this year as the government has declared September 11 as a holiday.

The public administration ministry made the announcement on an executive order by the prime minister.

The Eid-ul-Azha will be held on September 13 this year and the three-day official holiday starts from September 12.

With Sep 11, which falls on the week’s first working day Sunday, declared as public holiday, government officials will be able to go on vacation from September 9 (Friday).

The announcement means that offices will remain closed from September 9 to 14.
