Bangladeshi national shot dead by BSF in Lalmonirhat

A Bangladeshi national was shot dead and two others were injured by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) under Kaliganj upazila in Lalmonirhat early Friday.

The incident took place on Burirhat border area under Gorol union of the upazila around 4am.

The deceased was identified as Mohibur Rahman, 38, son of Nozu Pramanik, hailing from Malghara village.

BGB sources said BSF members from Saat Bhandaria camp opened fire to the some Bangladeshi nationals near pillar no 915 while they were going to the bordering area to bring cattle, leaving one of them killed and two others injured.

Confirming the matter BGB-15 commanding officer Lieutenant Colonel Bazlur Rahman said BGB has sent a letter to BSF, protesting the incident.
