JMB northern commander killed in ‘gunfight’

At least two members of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh including its operational commander for northern region killed in an alleged gunfight with police in Bogra.

The incident took place at Noilapara of Sherpur upazila in the district at 3.30am on Monday.

The deceased one is Badol Mama alias Khaled Mama, operational commander for northern region of JMB and other identity could not be known immediately.

Police also recovered grenades making materials, one pistol and four round bullets from the spot.
