Schoolgirl stabbed by teaser dies at DMCH

Willes Little Flower School and College student Suraya Akhter Risha, who had been stabbed by a stalker in Dhaka’s Kakrail area four days ago, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

In-Charge of says DMCH police outpost Md Bachhu Miah said Suraya, 14, a class eight student and daughter of Ramjan Ali, breathed her last in the intensive care unit around 8:30am Sunday after struggling with the stab injuries.

Bachhu Mia also said the body was kept in the morgue for autopsy.

On August 24, an unidentified stalker stabbed Suraya in front of her school while she was returning home, leaving her critically injured.

Ramna police station Officer-in-Charge Moshiur Rahman said they have already traced the stalker and drives are on to arrest him.

However, the OC denied to disclose his identity for the sake of investigation.
