AL gets permission for rally

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on condition has given Awami League permission to hold rally at Sohrawardy Udyan in the capital.

Deputy Commissioner (media) of DMP Anwar Hossain confirmed in a press release that DMP has withdrawn the banning on holding rallies in the capital and given AL permission to hold the rally marking the Homecoming day of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. But the party must obey the law and undergo some conditions while in the rally, said Masudur Rahman, Deputy Comissioner (press and media), DMP.
