Medical admission seekers block Shahbagh
The students seeking retake of the MBBS and BDS admission tests have blocked Shahbagh, halting traffic movement on the busy point.
The protesters gathered on Shaheed Minar premises around 10am Sunday and then took position at Shahbagh around 12 noon.
At one state, Shibli Noman, assistant commissioner (Ramna Zone) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, using a loudspeaker called upon the agitators to remain calm.
He asked students to send their representatives to him so that he can help the team to go to the PM office with their memorandum.
The aspirants demanded that the result of medical college admission test held on September 18 be scrapped because questions were leaked on Facebook the night before the exams.
Since then, protest programmes has been continued at different points of the capital.
