4 more die from dengue, 758 hospitalised in 24 hrs
Four more deaths were reported from dengue in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease to 242 this year.
Of the new deaths, three were reported in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and one was recorded in Barishal division (Out of CC).
During the period, 758 more patients were hospitalised with the viral fever, raising the total cases to 57,015 to date this year, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a statement today (October 15).
Of the new cases, 133 were recorded in Barishal division (Out of CC), 85 in Chattogram division (Out of CC), 158 in Dhaka division (Out of CC), 102 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), and 100 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).
Besides, 62 new cases were recorded in Khulna division (Out of CC), 50 in Mymensingh division (Out of CC), 47 in Rajshahi division (Out of CC), 19 in Rangpur division (Out of CC), and two in Sylhet division (Out of CC).
