Two sentenced to death for killing mother and daughter

Two people in Chittagong have been sentenced to death for killing a teenage girl and her mother in 2014.

A Chittagong Speedy Tribunal Judge Muhitul Haque Enam Chowdhury delivered the verdict on Thursday in presence of the convicts.

The convicts are Abu Raihan, 23, and his friend Shahid.

Saima Naznin Nishat, who was appearing in the Secondary School Certificate exams, and her mother Rezia Begum were hacked to death in Agrabad on March 24 last year.

Nishat`s father Rezaul Karim filed case with Double Mooring police station on same day of the incident.

Police submitted charge sheet in the case on May 25 of the same year.
