Swechchhasebak Dal leader hacked to death in Sylhet

A Swechchhasebak Dal leader was hacked to death by unidentified miscreants at Kuarpar in Sylhet around 10am on Saturday.

He was undergoing treatment at M A G Osmani Medical College Hospital and died at 11pm.

The deceased is Tazul Islam, husband of BNP leader Shahana Begum, a former councilor in the city.

Locals said, three young men came on motorcycle and hacked Tazul when he was returning his home. Later they rescued him in a critical condition and sent him to the hospital. Tazul died was undergoing treatment.  

Slain Tazul’s brother Nurul Islam said his brother came under attack and died over pre enmity.
