2 Hizb ut Tahrir members held in city
Police has nabbed two students including one from University of Dhaka during distributing leaflets of banned Islamist extremist group Hizb ut Tahrir Bangladesh from city’s Gandaria area.
Officer-in charge of Gandaria Police Station Kazi Mizanur Rahman said police nabbed Hafiz, a student of University of Dhaka and Zahid, a student of Dhaka College on Friday noon while they were distributing leaflets of Hizb ut Tahrir after Jumma prayer at the area.
The arrestees confessed that they involved with Hizb ut Tahrir, he said.
They will be produced before the court after primary interrogation, added the OC.
