2 drug traders held with 90,000 Yaba pills in Ctg

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two drug peddlers with 90,000 pieces of Yaba tablets from Kodomtali area under Doublemooring thana in the city early on Thursday.

The arrested Ahmed Noor, 48, son of late Aminul Hoque, hailing from Patiya upazila of the district and Mohammad Rasel,29, son of late Fazal Ahmed, a resident of Bakalia thana in the city.

Acting on a tip off, a team of RAB raided the offices of Shimul Transports and Al Amin Transport agencies at Kadamtaly bus terminal and seized the tablets from the cartons of energy bulb, RAB sources said.

The seized Yaba tablets was worth about Taka 4.50 crore, the sources added.
