Bangabahadur’s death: writ petition filed in High Court

A Supreme Court lawyer on Thursday filed a writ petition over dead of the elephant ‘Bangabahadur’ swept from India by flood seeking punishment for the people responsible in this regard.

Advocate Younus Ali filed the writ petition seeking a probe committee led by a former Justice alongside compensation of Tk 1 crore.

Earlier, on August 16, the elephant became weak after it was tranquillised thrice and finally died around 6am.
