Another SUST student detained over ‘militant link’

Members of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime Unit of Police detained a student of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) on Thursday for his suspected link to militancy.

The student was detained from the Institute of Information and Communication Technology building of the university at 10.30am.

He is the student of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department of SUST. Further details regarding him could not be known immediately.

In this connection Acting-proctor of the university Rashed Talukder said, detained student may be the student of CSE.

Officer-in-charge of Jalalabad Police Station Akhter Hosen said, there is no information about this matter to me.

It is mentionable that, the members of Rapid Action Battalion arrested a student of SUST from Sylhet city for his suspected link to militancy on August 3.
