Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has expressed deep condolences over the recent terrorist attack in Kashmir’s Pahalgam, strongly condemning the violence and reaffirming Bangladesh’s unwavering stance against terrorism.

In a formal message addressed to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Professor Yunus said, "Excellency, Please accept my deepest condolences over the loss of life resulting from the terrorist attack that took place in Kashmir's Pahalgam. We strongly condemn this heinous act. Let me reaffirm Bangladesh's resolute stand against terrorism."

Gunmen shot and killed at least 26 tourists on Tuesday at a resort in Indian-controlled Kashmir, police said, in what appeared to be a major shift in a regional conflict in which tourists have largely been spared.

The attack has sparked international concern and condemnation. Bangladesh, under the leadership of Chief Adviser Yunus, has iterated its solidarity with victims of terrorism and its commitment to promoting peace and security in the region.
