Dhaka College, City College students clash at Science Lab intersection

A group of students from Dhaka College and Dhaka City College were involved in a clash at the Science Lab intersection in the capital on Tuesday.

The incident began around 11:40 am, leading to a chase and counter-chase between the two groups. Both sides were seen hurling brick chips at each other during the altercation. However, the exact cause of the clash could not be confirmed immediately.

City College students gathered beneath the Science Lab foot-over bridge, while Dhaka College students took position in front of the Government Teachers’ Training College. The two groups continued to throw brick chips at each other from their respective positions.

Meanwhile, additional police forces were deployed to the scene to bring the situation under control. Deputy Commissioner Masud Alam of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Ramna Division also arrived at the spot.
