‘Efforts underway to bring back AL leaders fleeing to India’

Home Adviser Lt Gen Jahangir Alam Chowdhury stated that there is no concern about any conflict with India. He mentioned that an agreement has been reached to bring back Awami League leaders and activists currently fleeing to India, and efforts are ongoing to facilitate their return.

He made these remarks after inspecting the Shantiganj Police Station in Sunamganj on Thursday (April 10).

The Home Adviser further noted, "The law-and-order situation in the country is much better than before. Ongoing operations to recover looted arms from various police stations are still in progress. Once these arms are recovered, police activities will become more efficient."

Present at the event were Sylhet Divisional Commissioner Khan Md Reza Un Nabi, Sylhet Range DIG Mushfekur Rahman, Sunamganj Deputy Commissioner Dr Mohammad Elias Mia, and other administrative officials.
