Over 100 crude bombs exploded in clash over dominance

Two group of people clashed and detonated more than 100 crude bombs in Shariatpur's Zajira on Saturday morning, April 5, over establishing supremacy.
Locals and police said the followers of Bilashpur union parishad chairman Kuddus Bepari and Swechchhasebak League leader Jalil Matbar had long been at loggerheads over establishing supremacy in the locality and they clashed on several occasions.
The supporters of both groups clashed again in Durbadanga area this morning over a trivial matter and detonated more than crude bombs.
However, no casualties were reported yet.
Later, the police personnel rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control, said Zajira police station's officer-in-charge Dulal Aknda.
Kuddus Bepari and Jalil Matbar could not be reached over the phone for comment.
