Metro rail services resume

After a one-day closure for Eid-ul-Fitr, Dhaka’s metro rail has resumed operations. The first train of the day departed from Uttara North Station at 7:10 am on Tuesday, heading towards Motijheel, while the first train from Motijheel left for Uttara North Station at 7:30 am.

The Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL), the authority responsible for operating the metro rail, confirmed the resumption of services.

According to DMTCL, metro rail services were suspended on Monday (March 31) in observance of Eid-ul-Fitr. However, operations have now resumed, ensuring regular transportation for commuters.

Earlier, on Sunday (March 30), DMTCL announced on its verified Facebook page that metro rail services would remain suspended only on Eid day, with normal operations resuming the next morning.
