CA inquires about Tamim’s health after heart attack

The Chief Adviser, Professor Muhammad Yunus, has inquired about the physical condition of former national cricket team captain Tamim Iqbal, who suffered a heart attack while playing a match at the BKSP in Savar, Dhaka.

The Senior Assistant Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser, Foyez Ahammad, confirmed this information on Monday, March 24.

On behalf of the Chief Adviser, Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Mojumdar spoke with the Chief Executive Officer of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), Nizam Uddin Chowdhury.

Nizam Uddin stated that after Tamim suffered the heart attack, he was quickly rushed to the nearest hospital, where an angiogram was performed immediately to assess his condition.

He further mentioned that the BCB is maintaining regular contact with Tamim's doctors and is prepared to provide all necessary support for his treatment.

Nizam Uddin also confirmed that the Chief Adviser will be regularly updated on Tamim Iqbal's physical condition.

Tamim has played 70 Test matches, 243 One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and 78 Twenty20 internationals for the Bangladesh national team, and throughout his illustrious career, he has led the team on several occasions.
