The Chairman of the Aamar Bangladesh (AB) Party, Mojibur Rahman Manju, has stated that the news of the arrest of Barrister Asaduzzaman Fuad, the General Secretary of the AB Party, is false and part of a propaganda campaign.

He confirmed this to reporters early on Monday. Manju stated that he had spoken with Fuad, who is doing fine, and clarified that the news of Fuad's arrest is false and baseless.

Earlier, on Sunday night, rumours about Barrister Fuad's arrest began circulating on social media. Since the mass uprising and the fall of the authoritarian regime of Sheikh Hasina on August 5, 2024, there has been a continuous effort to spread rumors on various issues nearly every night by a certain group.
