4 Rohingya bodies recovered after boat capsizes in Teknaf

Four bodies of Rohingya individuals were recovered following a boat capsizing incident in the sea while attempting to illegally enter Teknaf from Myanmar. Among the deceased were one child and three women.
The bodies were found on Saturday (March 22) at around 8:00 pm, floating near the western shore of Shahpari Island. Abdul Mannan, a local Union Parishad member, confirmed the incident.
He stated that on the night of Friday, a boat carrying Rohingya individuals capsized while trying to enter Teknaf from Myanmar, and 25 Rohingyas were rescued. At that time, the exact number of missing individuals was unknown. The bodies of three women and one child were later found floating near Shahpari Island at around 8 p.m. on Saturday.
Teknaf Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sheikh Ehsan Uddin also confirmed the recovery of the four bodies from the boat capsizing incident involving the Rohingya people.
