Information and Broadcasting Adviser Mahfuj Alam has emphasised that under no circumstances should the people be pitted against state institutions.

In a Facebook post published on his verified account at 1:17 am on Saturday, he stated, "We have been working over the past few months to revamp state institutions. It was a highly complex process to restore confidence and effectiveness in all institutions. Without strong, accountable, and efficient state institutions, we cannot move forward."

He further noted that the interim government’s strong performance is based on the restructuring of state institutions.

Mahfuj also mentioned that the government has taken action against criminals within various institutions, ensuring their punishment, removal, and trial. Others will also face justice following investigations. Additionally, all institutions must uphold their own transparency. However, he stressed that the people must not be pitted against state institutions.

"A decade and a half of fascism has left behind many mechanisms," he wrote. "The process of reforming and changing them must be democratic and systematic. Let unity prevail, not violence. In a stable state, we can carry out reforms and justice at a faster pace," he concluded.
