Father detained for ‘raping’ daughter in Dhaka

Amidst ongoing protests against rape across the country, police have detained a man for allegedly raping his own daughter in the Pallabi area, Dhaka.
Sub-Inspector Joy Das of Pallabi Police Station confirmed the information on Thursday morning.
He stated, “The man has been detained for allegedly raping his 14-year-old daughter in the Beguntila slum area of Pallabi. The victim’s mother is preparing to file a case in this regard.”
He also added that further legal actions are underway.
