The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Ataullah Abu Ammar Jununi, leader of Myanmar’s Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA), along with five associates in Siddhirganj on Tuesday.

A Narayanganj court swiftly granted a 10-day remand—split into five days each—across two cases filed at Siddhirganj Police Station.

Senior Judicial Magistrate Md Moinuddin Qadir approved the remand that afternoon, following the arrests.

Court Police Inspector Md Qayum Khan confirmed the operation, spotlighting the capture of the ARSA chief and his aides.

The arrests mark a significant move against the armed group, though details of the cases remain under wraps.
