UN chief leaves Dhaka

UN Secretary-General António Guterres left Dhaka on Sunday at 9:55 am, concluding his four-day official visit.
Environmental Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan and Chief Adviser’s High Representative for the Rohingya Crisis, Khalilur Rahman, saw him off at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
Before his departure, the UN Secretary-General spoke with Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus over the phone and exchanged farewell greetings.
During his visit, the UN Secretary-General held meetings with the Chief Adviser and other high-ranking officials, visited the Rohingya camps to share Ramadan Solidarity Iftar with around 100,000 Rohingya, accompanied by the Chief Adviser.
Guterres also participated in roundtable discussions with members of the National Consensus Building Commission, political leaders, Bangladeshi youth, and civil society members.
