Moving train catches fire in Mymensingh

A fire broke out in a moving train in Mymensingh's Trishal on Saturday morning, March 8.
The incident occurred in Dhala station area around 9:45am, the officer-in-charge of Mymensingh Railway police station, Md Aktar Hossain, told Jago News.
He said the engine of Jamalpur-bround 'Dewanganj Commuter' train caught fire soon after crossing Dhala station, causing panic among passengers and suspending train movement on Dhaka-Dewabganj route.
Later, the railway employees and locals managed to douse the blaze, he said, adding that the train left for Dewanganj around 10:30am and rail communication on Dhaka-Dewabganj route returned to normal.
