HC suspends security directive, summons home secy

The High Court on Thursday suspended the state security directive 2025 for three months. At the same time, the court issued a suo motu rule questioning why the directive should not be declared illegal.
The court also summoned Nasimul Gani, Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, to explain the issuance of the directive. He has been directed to appear in court on March 18.
During the hearing, the High Court remarked that the directive had undermined the authority of the Supreme Court.
