Professor Dr M Aminul Islam, currently serving as the Chief Adviser’s Special Assistant with the rank of state minister, is set to be appointed as a new adviser to the interim government.
An official confirmed to Jago News that the swearing-in ceremony will take place at Bangabhaban at 11:00am on Wednesday, March 5. Dr Aminul Islam is presently assigned to the Ministry of Education in his current role.
Following his appointment, Dr Aminul Islam may assume responsibility for the Ministry of Education.

With the addition of this new adviser, the total number of advisers in the interim government, including the Chief Adviser, will rise to 23.
The council faced changes in recent months. On December 20 of last year, Aviation, Tourism, and Land Adviser AF Hassan Ariff passed away. More recently, on February 25, Md. Nahid Islam, the adviser overseeing the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology, resigned to join a new political party. Following these developments, the total number of advisers, including the Chief Adviser, stood at 22 prior to this latest appointment.
