4 killed in hotel fire in Dhaka’s Shahjadpur

Four people were killed in a fire that broke out at a residential hotel in Shahjadpur, Dhaka on Monday. The identities of the victims have not been confirmed, but it is known that all of them were men.

Duty Officer Rashed Bin Khalid from the Fire Service Control Room provided this information to Jago News.

He stated that the fire began at the Saudia Hotel, located in the Vatara area of Shahjadpur, at 12:17 pm. Upon receiving the report, four units of the Fire Service arrived at the scene and brought the fire under control by 1:04 pm. The fire had started on the second floor of the six-story hotel.

After the fire was brought under control, the bodies of four individuals were recovered from the hotel.

Talha Bin Jasim, the acting spokesperson for the Fire Service Media Cell, confirmed that the four bodies were found on the sixth floor of the hotel. One body was located inside a bathroom, while the other three were recovered from the base of a staircase.
