The Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) is set to launch a special operation ahead of the upcoming Ramadan, announced Additional Police Commissioner and DB chief Rezaul Karim Mallick on Saturday.
He stated that "all-out action" would be carried out against criminals in various areas. "Just as we aim to gain the trust of the general public, we also intend to become a source of fear for criminals. We are working with this principle in mind," he said.
Mallik made these comments during a press conference on 'Planned Activities by DB to Maintain Law and Order during the Holy Month of Ramadan,' held at the DMP Media Centre on Minto Road in the capital on Saturday, March 1.
