Mahfuj new information adviser

Mahfuj Alam has been appointed as the new information and broadcasting adviser to the interim government.

This information was shared in a notification issued by the Cabinet Division on Wednesday, February 26.

Mahfuj, who had not previously held a specific portfolio, was given the new role following the resignation of Nahid Islam from the advisory council on Tuesday, February 25.

Nahid stepped down from his post to join a new political party, which is set to be officially launched on February 28.

The Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and the National Citizens Committee are going to form the new political party, which will be led by Nahid Islam.
