OCs of Kalihati, Ghatail closed

Officers-in-charge of Kalihati and Ghatail Police Station were closed to the district police lines on Sunday night in connection with Friday’s police firing on a demonstration in Kalihati upazila.

The two police officers are - Mukhlesur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Ghatail Police Station, and Shahidul Islam, officer-in-charge Kalihati Police Station.

Sharifur Rahman, ASP of Tangail (South) confirmed the incident to JagoNews24.com.

Earlier, seven policemen involved in opening the fire on locals during their protest against assault of a woman and her son Friday, were closed to Dhaka Range.
