2 die in Sonargaon AC blast
Two people were killed after an air conditioner compressor exploded at a private bank in Narayanganj’s Sonargaon on Sunday afternoon, February 23.
The deceased were identified as Tuhin, 25, son of Selim Bepari, from Chandpur’s Sadar and Rafi from Lakshmipur’s Ramganj.
An AC compressor exploded at Eastern Bank’s Kanchpur branch at Sonargaon Mega Complex around 1:00pm during repairing, leaving two injured, said Jahangir Alam, senior station officer at Shimrail Fire Service.
Later, they were rushed to Victoria General Hospital, Narayanganj where the on-duty doctors declared them dead, he added.
