Chattogram factory fire under control

The fire that broke out in a jacket factory in Chattogram has been brought under control after around three hours.
The firefighters doused the blaze around 7:35pm on Saturday, February 22, said Md Abdullah, deputy assistant director of Patia Fire Service.
Earlier, the fire erupted on the fourth floor of Ebalan Garments near Kalurghat Bridge in Boalkhali at about 4:50pm. Later, six units of the firefighters rushed to the spot to put out the fire.
Abdullah said there remains no worker on the fourth floor and the ones working on the second and third floors got down immediately after the fire broke out.
Md Ibrahim, quality supervisor of the factory, said the fourth floor is used as a prayer hall. Some workers noticed smoke there after saying Asr prayers and informed the fire service.
The causes of the fire could not known immediately and no casualties were report in the incident.
