6.4 lakhs yaba seized in Ctg

Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard in a drive seized 6, 40,000 pieces of Yaba tablet worth of tk 32 corer from Kumira Ghat area of outer part of Chittagong Sea port on Monday early morning.

Shohidul Islam, Captain of Coast Guard, Eastern Zone said acting on secret information two team of Coast Guard conducted drives on outer part of Chittagong sea port in the early moring.

Sensing the presence of Coast Guard smugglers fled from the area and left a boat with few sacks filled with yaba tablets behind.

Later, members of Coast Guard recovered 6, 40, 000 pieces of yaba worth of tk 32 corer from the boat at Kumira Ghat area.

A case was filed in the connection.
