3 die in Barguna triangular collision

Three people, including a child, were killed in a collision among three vehicles in Barguna’s Amtali on Tuesday afternoon, February 11.
The deceased were identified as Shahidul Islam, 60, a resident of Dalachora village, Atahar Gazi, 60, of Bainbunia village, and Abid, 7, son of Himu Akan, of Loda village in the upazila.
Police and locals said a bus of ‘Unique Paribahan’ rammed a three wheeler, locally known as Mahindra’ and then, hit a motorcycle in Saheb Bazar around 2:00pm, leaving one dead on the spot and two seriously injured.
Among the injured, one was declared dead after taken to Amtali upazila health complex and another died on the way to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital, Barishal.
Amtali police station’s officer-in-charge Md Arifur Rahman said the police seized the bus but its driver and his assistant managed to flee.
