The first phase of the 58th Bishwa Ijtema, the second-largest Muslim congregation, concluded on Sunday with prayers for the guidance of the Muslim ummah.

The Akheri Munajat (final prayer) began at 9:15 am on Sunday and ended at 9:36 am.

Maulana Hafez Zobair Ahmad, leader of the Bangladesh Tabligh Jamaat and head imam of Kakrail Jame Masjid in Dhaka, conducted the munajat on the final day of the three-day Ijtema.

Organisers estimate that around 2 million devotees participated in this significant prayer.

Earlier, after Fajr prayers, Maulana Abdur Rahman from India delivered the guidance lecture in Hindi, which was immediately translated into Bengali by Maulana Abdul Matin.
