Action if BCL tries to hold programmes: DMP chief

Dhaka Metropolitan Commissioner, DMP, Sheikh Md Sajjat Ali on Friday, January 31, warned of taking action against outlawed organisation Bangladesh Chhatra League, BCL, if it tries to hold any kind of programme in February.
He said this in reply to a query from the journalists after inspecting the security measures at Suhrawardy Udyan taken by DMP on the occasion of the Amar Ekushey Book Fair.
"We have arrested many leaders of banned organisation Chhatra League. If they try hold any programme, we will definately take action," he said.
About the programmes announced by the Awami League for February, the DMP chief said, "Anyone can announce programmes, but we are dealing with these everyday."
