Holy Shab-e-Meraj tonight

The holy Shab-e-Meraj will be observed across the country on Monday night with due respect and religious fervor.

Muslims observe Shab-e-Meraj every year on the 27th night of the Islamic month of Rajab, marking the night when Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) embarked on a special journey to meet Allah.

During this journey, the Prophet traveled on the "Buraq" to Heaven, where Allah gave him instructions regarding the details of prayers to be shared with the faithful.

Muslim devotees will offer special prayers throughout the night at mosques and homes, seeking Allah’s blessings for the welfare of the entire nation and the Muslim Ummah.

Notably, the crescent moon of the holy month of Rajab for the year 1446 Hijri was sighted in the sky of Bangladesh on the evening of January 1. Following the moon sighting, the National Moon Sighting Committee held a meeting at the Islamic Foundation office in Baitul Mukarram, where it was decided to observe Shab-e-Meraj on January 27.
