Next polls between late 2025 or early 2026: EC Masud

Election Commissioner, EC, Abdur Rahmanel Masud has said the next general election will be held between the end of 2025 or early 2026 through ballot.

“We are working to ensure a fair and acceptable election. Now our full concentration to the national election. The parliamentary polls will take place between late 2025 or early 2026 through ballot,” he said.

EC Masud shared this information in a view-exchange at the District Election Office, Patuakhali on Thursday morning, January 23, on the occasion of voter list update.

Mentioning that around 35,000 individuals are collecting information to update the voter list across the country, he urged them to be more responsible to make the list perfect.
