Kamal Majumdar falls ill at jail, admitted to DMCH
Former State Minister of Industries Kamal Ahmed Majumdar, who fell ill at Dhaka Central Jail, has been admitted to the medicine ward of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
He fell ill around 6 am on Wednesday at the jail and was promptly taken to the hospital’s emergency department in an unconscious state. He was later admitted to 601 no ward of the hospital’s new building around 7:15 am.
Prison guard Chan Mia confirmed that Kamal Ahmed fell ill in the morning and was immediately taken to the hospital.
Inspector Md Faruk, the officer in charge of the police camp at the hospital, confirmed the incident, stating that after falling ill at the jail, the former state minister was brought to the hospital by the prison guards and admitted to the medicine ward.
