Hasnat involved in Gulshan attack: DMP

Joint-Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Abdul Baten on Sunday said police got evidence against Hasnat Karim, former teacher of North South University (NSU) that he was involved with Gulshan Holey Artisan Bakery attack on July 1.

Police arrested Hasnat Karim after getting evidence against him, said the Joint-Commissioner in a press briefing at DMP media center in the city.

Earlier, police shown arrested Hasnat on August 4 and a Dhaka court granted remand on August 13.

On July 1, militant carried out country’s deadly terrorist attack at Gulshan’s Holey Artisan Bakery, an upscale restaurant, and killed 22 people including 17 foreigners and two police officials.
