Female traffic sergeants get scooties

Dhaka Metropolitan Police on Sunday provided its 22 female traffic sergeants with scooties to ensure smooth services to the city commuters.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia handed over 22 motorbikes to the sergeants at the DMP headquarters at a simple function in the morning.

This is for the first time female police officers are provided with two-wheelers and they are given a two-week training to drive the scooties.
