Dearness allowance to be announced by June 30

Md Mokhles ur Rahman, senior secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, has said the dearness allowance will be announced for the government officials and employees before June 30.

He shared the information while talking to the reporters at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Thursday, January 9.

The allowance will be added with the basic salary during the increment, Mokhles ur Rahman, a member of the dearness allowance review committee, said, adding that the pensioners will also receive the allowance this year.

“Certainly, dearness allowance will be given by June 30,” the senior secretary replied to a question. 

When asked what percentage will be the allowance, he suggested talking to the finance adviser and the finance secretary in this regard.

When asked whether the government employees will receive the current 5 per cent incentives after the announcement of the dearness allowance, he could not provide details about this.
